La reflexión del filósofo Karl Popper en torno al pensamiento presocrático está guiada en gran medida por la búsqueda del origen de unas tesis filosóficas que constituyen el armazón de su propio pensamiento.
Entre estas tesis encontramos el reconocimiento de la limitación del conocimiento humano, el racionalismo crítico, el falsacionismo, el interés por la cosmogonía o el rechazo del inductivismo. Sin embargo, si bien las observaciones de Popper siempre son audaces y originales, no siempre son rigurosas desde el punto de vista académico

The reflection of the philosopher Karl Popper on pre-Socratic thought is guided largely by the search for the origin of philosophical theses that constitute the framework of his own thought. Among these theses are the recognition of the limitation of human knowledge, critical rationalism, falsificationism, interest in cosmogony, and rejection of inductivism. Therefore, although Popper’s observations are always bold and original, they are not always rigorous from the academic point of view.
