Autoría y filiación como indicador pronóstico de la calidad en la Web 2.0: los Blogs sobre medio ambiente.

    Objetivo: Describir la calidad y su relación con la presencia de autoría y/o filiación de los Blogs sobre Medio Ambiente.Métodos: Análisis descriptivo de los Blogs mediante el buscador “Google Blogs Search”. Los datos se obtuvieron de la consulta directa, vía Internet, a los Blogs. Se seleccionando 386 mediante muestreo aleatorio simple sin reemplazo; estudiando  los accesibles y en caso de no poder acceder, éste fue sustituido por el siguiente que no estuviera previamente seleccionado en el muestreo.Los cálculos estadísticos, se realizaron empleando el programa SPSS®. Las variables cualitativas se describieron con su valor absoluto y porcentaje.  La existencia de tendencia lineal entre variables se realizó mediante la Chi Cuadrado. Nivel de significación utilizado en todos los contrastes α ≤ 0,05.Resultados: La presencia de autoría en los Blogs estudiados supone una mayor adecuación de los contenidos sobre medio ambiente: χ2 de Pearson = 13.306, p < 0.01, así como la existencia de institución de filiación χ2 de Pearson = 7.015, p < 0.01. Destacar que no se observan diferencias significativas en la adecuación del contenido cuando el Blog estudiado presenta autoría y filiación: χ2 de Pearson = 4.546, p = 0.103.   Conclusiones: Al contrario de lo esperado, en el campo del Medio Ambiente, la presencia de autor ligado a una institución de referencia no ha presentado resultados significativos, y por tanto esta circunstancia no debe presuponer una mayor adecuación del Blog, en consecuencia, en este caso, no sería un criterio de calidad a tener en cuenta.

    Aim: To describe content quality and its relation with authorship and / or affiliation in the Blogs about the Environment.Methods: A descriptive study of the Blogs was carried out using the searches on “Google Blogs Search”. Data were obtained from direct access to and consultation of the blogs studied via the Internet. Three hundred and eighty six blogs were selected and located using simple random sampling without replacement. Studying the accessible and in case of not being able to access, it was replaced by the one that was not previously selected in the sampling.The statistical calculations were performed using the program SPSS®. The qualitative variables were described with their absolute value and percentage. The existence of a linear trend relationship between variables was performed by the Chi Square test. The significance level used in all of the hypothesis comparisons was α ≤ 0.05.Results: The results reveal that indication of authorship on the Blogs studied implied greater suitability of the contents concerning environment (Pearson`s test χ2 = 13.306, p < 0.01), as did the existence of affiliation to an institution (Pearson’s test χ2 = 7.015, p < 0.01).However, it is important to point out that there were no significant differences in the adequacy of content when the blog studied presents authorship and filiation (Pearson’s test χ2 = 4.546, p = 0.103).   Conclusions: Contrary to expectations, in the subject-matter (area/field of study) about the Environment, the presence of an author linked to a reference institution has not presented significant results, and therefore this circumstance should not presuppose a greater adequacy of the Blog, consequently, in this case, would not be a criterion of quality to take into account.
