Resumen de Los catecismos pictográficos: Unión de dos culturas

En el presente trabajo tratamos de explicar a través del contexto histórico el afán evangelizador que mostraron los conquistadores españoles durante la conquista de México. Así mismo destacamos la influencia de los frailes franciscanos en la vida cotidiana y la cultura del indio en el Valle de México durante el siglo XVI, para en seguida ver las características generales de los catecismos pictográficos y posteriormente, a modo de ejemplo, analizar los Catecismos de Fray Pedro de Gante.

The aim of this report is to explain the historical context the evangelical mission that the Spanish conquistadores showed during the conquest of Mexico. Furthermore, we highlight the influence of the Franciscan monks en everyday life, and in the culture of the natives in the Valley of Mexico during the 16th century. In addition, we review the general characteristics of the pictographic catechism, and subsequently, as an example, we analyze the catechism of Fray Pedro de Gante
