  El contenido del artículo se refiere a las últimas obras de restauración que se han llevado a cabo en la fachada principal de la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Montserrat. Se realiza una reseña histórica del edificio donde se relacionan cronológicamente aquellos acontecimientos considerados fundamentales de la historia del edificio, exponiendo las diferentes intervenciones realizadas desde finales del siglo xx. De su lectura se desprenden los problemas técnicos que llevaron a acometer las obras de restauración a finales de 2015 y principios de 2016. La actuación del proyecto se centraba en la revisión, limpieza superficial, fijación y reparación de los elementos que conforman la fachada principal de la iglesia y fachadas de la torre, así como en la revisión de las cubiertas. En todas las actuaciones, el proyecto mantuvo el criterio de actuar con la mínima intervención, realizando la labor estrictamente imprescindible para su conservación. El artículo detalla los trabajos realizados, materiales y técnicas utilizadas, acompañado de una interesante documentación gráfica.

  The present article refers to the recent restoration works carried out on the main façade of the temple of Nuestra Señora de Montserrat. First, there is a historical overview, which offers a chronological record of the events considered fundamental for the history of the building, as well as of the different architectural interventions realized since the late twentieth century. These are essential for identifying the technical problems that led to the necessity to undertake the repair and restoration project at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016. The project focused on the revision, overall surface cleaning, fix and repair of the church main façade’s and tower façades’ elements, as well as on the complete revision of the roofs. All project’s proceedings maintained the criteria of minimal intervention, performing the strictly necessary works for the building’s conservation. The article describes the works, materials and techniques involved in the process, providing the text with an interesting graphical documentation.
