Manejo de la Conducta del Paciente Maltratado

    Dentro del marco que caracteriza al maltrato y al abuso físico, el odontólogo tiene la posibilidad de ver al niño con más frecuencia que el médico de cabecera, pediatra u otros profesionales de la salud pues, como se sabe, los padres o tutores que maltratan a los niños no suelen llevarlos al mismo médico o al mismo centro de salud más de una vez para no ser descubiertos. Al trastorno que se desarrolla después del abuso sexual y del maltrato físico se le conoce con el nombre de estrés post traumático. Hemos querido evaluar la bibliografía de los últimos 10 años referente al tema del maltrato y manejo de la conducta de los niños víctimas de este fenómeno en el área dental y psiquiátrica, para resaltar la importancia que tiene conocer el perfil psicológico del paciente en el momento de aplicar una técnica de manejo de conducta durante la consulta odontológica. Si bien desde la primera consulta en odontopediatría se deben suponer una voluntad y predisposición especiales por parte del profesional, en el caso del niño víctima del maltrato se debe además, fomentar la seguridad y la confianza.

    Inside the mark that characterizes to the abuse and the physical abuse, the dentist has the possibility to do the boy with more frequency than the head doctor, pediatrician or other professionals of the since health, like one knows, the parents or tutors that mistreat the children don't usually take them to the same doctor or the same center of health more than once for not being discovered. To the dysfunction that is developed after the sexual abuse and of the physical abuse it is known how the post traumatic stress. We have wanted to evaluate the bibliography of the last 10 years with respect to the topic of the abuse and handling of the behavior of the children victims of this phenomenon in the dental and psychiatric area, to stand out the importance that has to know the patient's psychological profile in the moment to apply a technique of behavior handling during the dental consultation. Although from the first consultation in odontopediatrics a will and special bias should be supposed on the part of the professional, in the case of the boy victim of the abuse it is also, to foment trust and security.
