Resumen de O modelo renascentista e sua expansão para além da Península Itálica

  According to historical classifications, Italian Renaissance extended between the beginning of the 15th century and the 16th century, between the end of the Middle Ages and the rise of Mannerism. However, when one observes the formation of this cultural context and its consequences more carefully, it is possible to see that there were many connections with previous periods as well as strong influences on later times. In this paper, starting from the broadening of the limits of the so-called Renaissance, I will analyze some elements regarding the reception of the Renaissance model. This approach will focus on the painting produced during the Renaissance and on the mechanisms developed during this period to guarantee its quality. Specifically, I will consider an artistic practice, that is, the use of auxiliary plastic models by painters, and the functions that eventually were attributed to it.

  From these topics, my intention is to demonstrate that even small details can hide important symbolic meanings.

  De acordo com as periodizações históricas, o Renascimento Italiano estendeu-se entre o início do século XV e o século XVI, entre o final da Idade Média e o aparecimento do Maneirismo. Quando, no entanto, observam-se com mais atenção a formação desse contexto cultural e suas consequências, logo se percebe que tanto as conexões com períodos anteriores quanto as influências sobre épocas posteriores foram muitas. Neste artigo, partindo da ampliação dos limites daquilo que se conhece por Renascimento, pretende-se analisar alguns aspectos da fortuna e recepção do modelo renascentista. Essa abordagem terá como ponto central a pintura produzida durante o Renascimento assim como alguns dos mecanismos desenvolvidos durante esse período para garantir-lhe a qualidade. Mais especificamente, serão consideradas uma técnica artística, isto é, o uso modelos plásticos auxiliares por pintores, e as funções que lhe foram atribuídas. A partir desses elementos, a intenção é demonstrar como mesmo as menores peculiaridades podem estar revestidas de um elevado significado simbólico.
