A comparative of different existing calculation methods for the dimension of tracks supported on concrete slabs is the containing with a final conclusion where limitations of each method are shown accompanied with some orientations in order to accomplish a design based on a better thedretical representation of geometric and strength conditions existing in the reality.
In two other contributions (following AIT issues) will be considered possibilities given by modern methods of structure calculations and their practical application to the very case of track leaning on concrete slabs.
