El teatro es un acto complejo de comunicación, y esta influye y determina el proceso de escenificación y representación. En este trabajo se analiza la naturaleza de los procesos comunicativos que todo espectáculo teatral genera, considerando igualmente sus agentes, y destacando que todo acto de puesta en escena acaba por tener una inevitable dimensión pragmática que puede decidir su éxito o su fracaso. Al mismo tiempo, se destaca el campo de la comunicación teatral como un ámbito de investigación especialmente relevante.

Theatre is a complex act of communication which influences and determines the processes of staging and enacting. In this paper we analyze the nature and characteristics of the various communication processes that any theatre event always generates, and we also consider the agents involved in them, as any act of staging has eventually a pragmatic dimension, which can decide the success or failure of a play. At the same time we state theatre communication as a relevant field of research.
