El Derecho es tema recurrente en la historia de la Literatura. Las páginas que siguen, unas someras pinceladas, como reza el título, muestran un liviano recorrido por algunos momentos literarios particularmente llamativos para la mirada de un jurista. Unos momentos literarios que son expresión, como decía don Niceto Alcalá-Zamora Castillo, de las relaciones de ida y vuelta entre el Derecho y la Literatura y que aportan la perspectiva del literato, su punto de vista, sobre cuestiones jurídicas. Unos momentos literarios aquí seleccionados y que van de Shakespeare a Delibes, pasando por William Thackeray, Miguel Espinosa, Ramiro Pinilla, Cela o el colombiano Álvaro Cueto, con alguna alusión, a modo de hijuela, al «género chico», la zarzuela.

Law is a recurrent issue in the history of Literature. The pages that follow —just a few shallow brush-strokes, as announced in the title-— make a fast tour through some literary episodes that are particularly striking to the eyes of a jurist. They show some literary moments that express the reciprocal relationship between Law and Literature —as Niceto Alcala-Zamora Castillo would say— and provide a writer’s literary view over legal issues. This selection of literary moments ranges from William Shakespeare to Miguel Delibes, including William Thackeray, Miguel Espinosa, Ramiro Pinilla, or the Colombian Alvaro Cela Cueto, and some samples of Zarzuela, an Spanish genre of musical play also known as «genero chico» (small type).
