Resumen de Epigrafía y culto imperial en la Granada romana

  En este trabajo analizamos el culto imperial en la Granada romana a través de laepigrafía. Veremoscómo en los epígrafes aparecenalgunos individuos/as que ocuparon cargosrelacionados con el mantenimiento del culto imperial (sacerdos, pontífex, flamen, flaminica). Así, por ejemplo, L. Galerius Valerianus y ? Silvinus Fab(ius),sacerdotes perpetui en Iliberis; P. Octavius Flavus, C. Aemilius Niger Arvacus y L. Cominius Iulianus, flamines en Acci, Sexi eIlurco respectivamente; Cornelia Severina, …L.f. Patricia y Licinia Rufina, sacerdos/flaminicaen Iliberis; o los seviri augustales de Iliberis, M. Servilius Onesimus y L. Cornelius? Persius.Aparecen también algunas divinidades del panteón oficial romano.Todos estos testimoniosmuestran cómo en esta época acabó implantándose definitivamente la religión oficial romanaen el territorio granadino, favorecida por el afán de las élites locales por integrarse en la vidamunicipal y urbana mediante el desempeño de cargos municipales y religiosos.

  The aim of this essay is to examine the epigraphic evidence concerning theimperial cult of the Empire in Roman Granada. Some epigraphs contain references toholders of positions that were instrumental in promoting the Roman imperial cult (sacerdos,pontifex, flamen, flaminica). For example, L. Galerius Valerianus and ? SilvinusFab(ius), sacerdotes perpetui in Iliberis; P. Octavius Flavus, C. Aemilius Niger Arvacusand L. Cominius Iulianus, flamines in Acci, Sexi and Ilurco respectively; Cornelia Severina,…L.f. Patricia and Licinia Rufina, sacerdos/flaminica in Iliberis; or the seviri augustalesof Iliberis, M. Servilius Onesimus and L. Cornelius? Persius. Some other epigraphsmention divinities of the official Roman pantheon. All these testimonies show that thereligion of the Empire was eventually established in Roman Granada. The process ofimplantation was fostered by the local elites’ desire for integration into municipal andurban life through the performance of religious offices.
