La vaguedad teórica en la que vivió el género dialógico favoreció la apertura a otras formas literarias, pero limitó hasta hoy la comprensión de los textos. El análisis de las relaciones entre el diálogo y sus hipotextos en el Viaje de Turquía (relatos de viaje y otras fuentes de información sobre Turquía) intenta poner de relieve la trascendencia que posee el estudio genérico para desvelar las aportaciones más profundas de un diálogo literario.

The theoretical vagueness in which the dialogic genre thrived contributed to create an opening to other literary forms, but posed an obstacle to text comprehension until today. The analysis of the relationship between Dialogue and its hypotexts in the Voyage to Turkey (travel narratives and other sources of information about Turkey) attempts to highlight the importance that the generic study has to reveal the deeper contributions of a literary dialogue.
