  • The article discusses the role that hydrogen fuels will allegedly play in the future of renewable energy, including the development of fuel cell technology for electricity. An overview of the former U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu's perspective on the use of hydrogen fuel cells in transportation is provided. The U.S. policy towards the use of hydrogen fuel cells in automobiles, including in regard to the United States Department of Energy's funding and financing for hydrogen fuel cell research, is discussed
