  • Resumen
    • In a region characterized by a strong identity like Sardinia, the villages far from the coasts have some features caused by the forced isolation from the main flows of change. These elements are related to the particular and unchanged relationship between population centers and natural landscape in architectural terms, morphological, productive and anthropological.

Also the fact that most of the buildings date back to before the Second World War determines the extraordinariness of the villages and landscapes, which are increasingly at risk of extinction because of replacement of traditional architecture with new buildings more comfortable and with new and cheaper materials.

Aim of this research is to study a local model of sustainability that addresses the many questions that arise in rich and complex system in which the main elements are related to landscape protection, to environmental quality, to the potential tourism and to conservation of the historical heritage.
