    La modernidad ha trazado y promovido en las naciones latinoamericanas continuos cambios políticos, sociales y económicos que los involucran en la vorágine global, evocando transformaciones en la estructura material e inmaterial de las comunidades. En esta lógica de acceder a la vida moderna y a la fiesta global, las sociedades latinoamericanas han dejado atrás pautas de comportamiento macro-micro social, la interacción social se ha vulnerado, los beneficios de la superación y acceso a la modernidad se concentra en ciertos grupos y la brecha de oportunidades de desarrollo para los excluidos y pobres es cada vez más amplia. Pensar al ocio y la recreación como una tecnología social, permite visualizar puentes para identificar la potencialidad y capacidad de los espacios sociales creadores de vivencias y mediar en la superación de exclusión que abren la posibilidad de ser y estar de otros modos.

    Modernity has designed and promoted continual political, social and economic changes that involve them in the global confusion, evoking transformations in the tangible and intangible community structure in Latin American countries. In this logic of access to modern life and the global party, Latin American societies have left behind social macro-micro behavioral pattern, this social interaction has been violated, the benefits of the overcoming and access to modernity is concentrated in certain groups and the gap of development opportunities is getting wider for the excluded and poor. To think over leisure as a social technology, it allows viewing bridges to identify the potential and capacity of social creator spaces of experiences and mediate in overcoming exclusion, which opens the possibility of being and living in other ways. Therefore, this approach identifies the logical thinking about leisure and modern life in Latin America, and promotes through socialcultural engineering lines of thoughtful papers for the leisure theorization with a Latin American perspective from the Eurocentric and North American premises.
