Resumen de Política e (é) Liberdade: reflexões sobre alguns argumentos

  Neste artigo, partimos da afirmação de Hannah Arendt de que o significado da política é a liberdade. Nosso objetivo, portanto, é o de analisar as implicações de tal afirmação, buscando alguns argumentos que possam justificá-la. Para isso, vamos relacionar a questão da política com uma concepção de ser humano, com a questão da democracia e um entendimento de liberdade. Relacionada à liberdade, retomamos a questão do discurso, assumido como a “matéria prima” da polis.

  In this article, we start from Hannah Arendt’s assertion that the meaning of politics is freedom. Therefo­re, our goal is to analyze the implications of such a claim, seeking for some arguments that might justify it. For this, we relate the question of politics with a conception of the human being, with the question of democracy and an understanding of freedom. Related to freedom, we discuss the question of discourse, considered as the “raw material” of the polis.
