The age of the animals was between one and eleven years old. Clinical evaluation revealed foot disorders in those animals. A portatil radiographic machine was used in order to take radiographs at the farm. Osteomyelitis of the claw accounted for 48 % (14/29); interdigital abscess, 21 % (6/29); degenerative arthritis 10 % (3/29); fracture of the hoof wall 4 % (1/29): and osteomyelitis together with other lesions, 17 % (5/29). The incidence of foot diseases was higher for animals that were between four and seven years old (48 %, 14/29), 31 % (9/29) for animals that were between one and three years old and 21% (6/29) for animals that were between eight and eleven years old. It is concluded that osteomyelitis of the claw was the most common lesion found, and that foot diseases ocurred most frequently in animals that were between four and seven years old.
