    El siglo XVI trajo consigo una revolución cultural, social e ideológica que afectó a todos los ámbitos de la sociedad europea y, es en esa conciencia de cambio, en la que debe concebirse la arquitectura renacentista, que sufre una renovación artística y científica, con la recuperación de las fuentes grecolatinas. En el Renacimiento se origina en lengua romance una literatura arquitectónica, con la recuperación del texto de Vitruvio y con las traducciones y nuevos tratados que se crean tras la interpretación del texto vitruviano, que influirá en la creación de un vocabulario especializado que designe las nuevas realidades y conceptos artísticos renacentistas

    The Sixteenth Century brought about a cultural, social and ideological revolution that concerned to all spheres of European society, and, in that awareness of change, we must understand the Ranaissance architecture, which experiences an artistic and scientific renovation, with the revival of Graeco- Latin sources. An architectonic literature, in Romance language, is originated in the Renaissance, when Vitruvio´s text is revived and with the translations and new texts created after the Vituvian text´s understading, that will influence in the building of a technical lexicon that designate the new artistic realities and ideas in the Renaissance
