  • Resumen
    • The purpose of this study was to expore similarities, differences or both, between members of two generations: Baby Boomers and X. The sample of 228 research participants answered different scales regarding the following variables: organizational commitment, job involvement, organizational frustration, job satisfaction, flexibility and adaption to change, learning disposition, unemployment history, central life interests, and retirement planning. Differences between generations were observed only in job involvement and job satisfaction when sex was considered in the analysis. Regarding retirement planning it was observed that members of Generations X want to retire in an early age, while Boomers think they would not have money to retire, they are not saving money for this moment, and plan to work after retirement. Results are discussed taking into account the existing literature.
