En la celebración del segundo centenario de la restauración de la Compañía de Jesús presentamos la historia de una de las provincias jesuitas de la antigua y la nueva Compañía: La provincia Bética o Andalucía que fue fundada por el mismo San Ignacio en 1554. En 2014 esta provincia Bética se integra en la naciente nueva provincia de España que se nutre de la vida de las anteriores provincias españolas. En estas páginas se presenta el nacimiento, desarrollo y devenir histórico con las innumerables referencias a jesuitas concretos y las actividades que han llevado a cabo.

On the celebration of the second centenary of the restoration of the Society of Jesus, we offer the history of one of the Jesuit Provinces of the old and the new Society: the Betica Province, or Andalusian Province, which was founded by Saint Ignatius himself in 1554. In 2014, this Betica Province has been integrated into the rising new Province of Spain, which os nourished by the life of the previous Spanish provinces. In these pages it is being offered the birth, development and historic unfolding, with numberless references to concrete Jesuits and the activities which have been carried out by them
