A survey of several key aspects to assess the role of Catalan Jews in translating the Bible into Catalan, from the evidence of their knowledge of the Hebrew language to the cultural and linguistic traces that can be detected in their translations. Not only the role of Catalan Jews is sometimes attested by contemporary documentary evidence but some manuscripts can be identified as their work.
