    En este artículo propongo realizar un estado de la cuestión referido a las formas en que la historiografía de los siglos XIX a XXI abordó la construcción de la figura ideal del soberano carolingio a partir del análisis de las obras de Ermoldo, Eginardo, Thegan, el Astrónomo, Nitardo y Notker, construcción a que su vez lleva implícita la elaboración de una tradición franco-carolingia, que aúna en las diferentes estrategias discursivas épica, literatura e historia

    In this article I propose to clarify the status of the issue of the ways in which the historiography of the 19th to the 21th centuries dealt with the construction of the ideal figure of the Carolingian sovereign from the analysis of the works of Ermoldo, Eginardo, Thegan, The Astronomer, Nitardo and Notker.

    This construction in turn implies the development of a Franco-Carolingian tradition, which brings epics, literature and history together in different discursive strategies

    Le propos de cette étude est de présenter un état de la question sur la façon dont l�historiographie du XIXe au XXIe siècle, en s�inspirant des oeuvres d�Ermold, d�Eghinard, de Thegan, de l�Astronome, de Nithard et de Notker, a abordé la construction de l�image idéale du souverain carolingien. Par ailleurs, cette construction accompagne l�élaboration implicite d�une tradition franco-carolingienne qui associe les diverses stratégies discursives, tant épique que littéraire et historique
