    The present article deals with to the elitist character and the formation conservative of the education of the Right that lasted during years until the present time. The distanciament of the social reality for the professionals of the education and the practical one of the Right standes out. It points the necessity of the relation of the colleges student with the community, as a form to promote solidarity and sensitivity with the problems of the “other”. It detaches the diverse forms of as the education of the Right can practise the extension. It demonstrates that to the university extension oportuniza the entailing between the theory and the practical one. It indicates the importance of the humanization of the education of the Right through the university extension.

    O presente artigo trata do caráter elitista e da formação conservadora do ensino do Direito que perdurou durante anos até a atualidade. Ressalta o distanciamento da realidade social pelos profissionais do ensino e da prática do Direito. Aponta a necessidade da relação dos universitários com a comunidade, como uma forma de promover a solidariedade e a sensibilidade com os problemas do “outro”. Destaca as diversas formas de como o ensino do Direito pode praticar a extensão. Demonstra que a extensão universitária oportuniza a vinculação entre a teoria e a prática. Indica a importância da humanização do ensino do Direito através da extensão universitária.
