Argumentation in advanced Spanish as a foreign language teaching: the para preposition with concessive value

    Este trabajo analiza la preposición para con valor concesivo o adversativo desde la perspectiva de la Teoría de la Argumentación en la Lengua. Desde ese punto de partida, se hace un breve repaso sobre el tratamiento de la preposición en materiales didácticos de ELE, para luego elaborar una propuesta didáctica para la enseñanza de este tipo de estructura argumentativa en el marco de una clase de español de nivel avanzado. Se pretende, así, colaborar con la planificación de una didáctica sistemática que contemple este enfoque en la enseñanza de español. En este sentido, el artículo sostiene que aprender una lengua extranjera requiere también acceder a las orientaciones argumentativas de sus unidades, ya que ponen de manifiesto patrones culturales (topoi) que se encuentran en la lengua y que permiten construir enunciados.

    This piece analyzes the Spanish preposition para with concessive or adversative value from the perspective of the Argumentation Theory of a language. From this starting point, there is a brief review regarding the treatment of prepositions in ELE[1] (Spanish as a foreign language) materials, in order to later create a didactic method for the teaching of this kind of argumentative structure in the framework of an advanced level Spanish class. It is intended, therefore, to collaborate with the planning of a systematic didactic that considers this approach in the teaching of the Spanish language. In this sense, the article states that learning a foreign language also requires to access argumentative orientations of its units, since they reveal cultural patterns of the language (topoi) which allow for the creation of narrative statements.
