Resumen de Estética masónica y modernismo portugués: Lisboa y el arquitecto Manuel Joaquim Norte Júnior

Este trabajo pretende dar a conocer la relevancia del modernismo de Lisboa a través de la figura de Manuel Joaquim Norte Júnior, arquitecto cuya trayectoria, cronología y lenguajes formales se encuentran cercanos a Enrique Nieto y Nieto (1880-1954). Al mismo tiempo, y debido a la filiación masónica de Norte Júnior se analizará sucintamente su estética. Toda su obra tiene un marcado componente simbólico, cuestión que es interesante abordar desde una perspectiva científica, observando los paralelismos con otros arquitectos modernistas europeos que también formaron parte de esta asociación filantrópica y filosófica.

This article pretends to make known the relevance of the Lisbon modernism through the figure of the architect Manuel Joaquim Norte Júnior, who's trajectory, chronology and formal languages are near to those of Enrique Nieto y Nieto (1880-1954). At the same time and due to the masonic affiliation of Norte Júnior, his aesthetic are succinctly analyzed. All his work has a noticeable symbolic component, issue that is interesting to consider from a scientific perspective, searching for the parallelism with other modernist european architects that were also part of this philanthropic and philosophical association.
