  Las universidades y organismos públicos de invetigación tienen entre sus objetivos publicar los resultados que se obtienen de sus trabajos. La actividad que desarrollan estos centros debe protegerse por importantes motivos, entre los que se encuentra la posible transferencia de sus logros a sectores socioeconómicos interesados en su explotación. Si es importante publicar estos resultados para incrementar el conocimiento, resulta fundamental protegerlos.

  Among the objectives of the public universities and research bodies is that of publishing the results obtained from their work. The activity of these centres must be protected for important reasons, among which is the possible transfer of their achievements to socio-economic sectors interested in making use of them. If it is important to publish these results in order to increase this knowledge, it is also essential that the knowledge be protected.
