Resumen de Representaciones sobre la violencia en el discurso del presidente Juan Manuel Santos ante la Asamblea General de la ONU

El presente artículo tiene como propósito analizar las representaciones de la violencia presentes en dos discursos del presidente Juan Manuel Santos ante la Asamblea General de la Organización de Naciones Unidas. Para este fin se hace uso de las herramientas brindadas por los Estudios Críticos del Discurso, desde donde se analizan los componentes cognitivos y sociales de los textos de las intervenciones. Se hace un abordaje del corpus a nivel textual, contextual e intertextual con base en los trabajos de van Dijk (1999, 2009) y Charaudeau (2002, 2009a, 2009b). Simultáneamente se realiza un análisis interdisciplinario desde la ciencia política y las relaciones internacionales. La investigación arrojó que las intervenciones presidenciales en el organismo internacional están atravesadas por representaciones de la violencia, aparentemente contradictorias, que tienen como finalidad legitimar la agenda política interna y contribuir a reproducir los discursos del terrorismo y, con ello, la �securitización� de la agenda política internacional.

This article aims to analyze the representations of violence present in two speeches by President Juan Manuel Santos at the General Assembly of the United Nations. For this purpose, we use the tools provided by Critical Discourse Studies, where we analyze the cognitive and social components of the texts of the speeches, relying on an approach to the corpus at textual, contextual and intertextual levels based on the works of van Dijk (1999, 2009) and Charaudeau (2002, 2009a, 2009b); simultaneously interdisciplinary analysis from political science and international relations. The research showed that in presidential interventions in the international organization are inscribed representations of violence, apparently contradictory, that are intended to legitimize the domestic political agenda and that help to reproduce the discourse of terrorism and thus, the securitization of the international political agenda.
