Resumen de Dinámica y transporte en un canal de mareas (Bahía Samborombon, Argentina)

  El Arroyo San Clemente está ubicado en el sur de la Bahía Samborombón. Su génesis y dinámica están vinculadas a la interacción entre el río de La Plata y el océano Atlántico, en tanto que los sedimentos del lecho se han depositado en estrecha relación con las variaciones del nivel del mar durante el Cuaternario. En este trabajo se analizan las características físico-dinámicas del mismo, en relación con el transporte de sedimentos en suspensión y por el fondo. Para ello se emplazó una plataforma fija, desde donde se registraron en forma continua variables oceanográficas, meteorológicas y sedimentológicas. Los datos demostraron un movimiento neto de sedimentos hacia el continente debido principalmente a los vientos y las corrientes de marea, con una mayor concentración de los mismos en el fondo y en la ribera Oeste del canal mareal.

  The San Clemente channel, is located in the South of Samborombon Bay. Its genesis and dynamic are linked to the interaction among the Rio of La Plata and the Atlantic Ocean, while the bottom sediments have been deposited in close relationship to the variations of the sea level during the Quaternary.

  In this work are analyzed the physico-dynamical characteristics of the same, in relationship to the sediment's transportation in suspention and by the bottom. For this, was located a fixed platform, from where were registered the oceanographical, meteorological and sedimentological variables.

  The data showed that the flood is greater than the ebb, generating a net sediments movement toward the continent, mainly by the bottom and by the West side of the channel. Upon possessing few depths, it's important the direction and duration of the winds. The resulting transportation produces a continuous progradation, estimated in one meter by year.
