Las críticas a los derechos humanos son de dos tipos: externas e internas. Las primeras insisten en la imposibilidad de la existencia de derechos humanos de validez universal, mientras que las segundas apuntan a la insuficiencia de los derechos humanos para proteger la dignidad de las personas. En este artículo se intenta mostrar que las críticas externas son insostenibles, mas no ocurre lo mismo con las internas. Y es que si la idea de dignidad del ser humano sigue resultando plausible, los derechos humanos serán insuficientes para protegerla mientras no se orienten hacia la realización efectiva de la justicia, es decir, hacia la distribución igualitaria de la riqueza y el poder.

The human rights criticisms are of two types: external and internal.
The first insist on the impossibility of the existence of universal human rights, while the latter point to the failure of human rights to protect the dignity of people. This article attempts to show that the external reviews are unsustainable, but not so with the inmates. If the idea of human dignity still find plausible, human rights will be insufficient to protect it while not geared towards the effective realization of justice, that is, to the equal distribution of wealth and power.
