    Este texto defiende que la Romanización de cántabros y astures no habría sido posible si no hubieran operado procesos de desestructuración mental. Roma se define como sociedad estatal, con escritura y muy burocratizada mientras que los pueblos del Norte de la Península ibérica eran antes de la conquista sociedades orales premodernas. Más que la imposición política y militar, la adopción por cántabros y astures de elementos concretos, como la escritura, supuso un tremendo impacto para su forma de percibir el mundo, generándose una sociedad nueva.

    This text defends that the Romanization of Cantabrians and Astures would not have been possible without processes of mental unstructuration. Rome defines itself as state society, with writing and very burocratic whereas the towns of the North of the Iberian Peninsula were before the conquest premodern and oral societies. More than the political and military imposition, the adoption by Cantabrians and Astures of concrete elements, like the writing, supposed a tremendous impact for their form to perceive the world and a new society would be generated.
