    El presente trabajo forma parte del Proyecto General de Investigación: “Turismo y desarrollo:

    nuevos escenarios en la gestión integral de destinos turísticos en el Sudoeste bonaerense. Parte II”, que se lleva a cabo en el Departamento de Geografía y Turismo de la Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca, Argentina). El mismo tiene como objetivo: indagar acerca del consumo recreativo del centro histórico de Bahía Blanca, como espacio aglutinador del patrimonio cultural local, a la vez de presentar una serie de resultados obtenidos a partir del trabajo campo y de la aplicación de la “Técnica de afloramiento de significados”, como herramienta representativa para la recolección de información en el terreno.

    This paper is part of the General Research Project: “Tourism and development: new scenarios in the comprehensive management of tourist destinations in the southwest of Buenos Aires. Part II”, which takes place in the Department of Geography and Tourism at the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca, Argentina). The project aims to: inquire about the recreational use of Bahia Blanca’s historic center, as a gathering space of local cultural heritage, while presenting a series of results obtained from field work and implementation of the “outcrop of meanings technique” as a representative tool for the gathering of information on the field.
