Resumen de La psicosis en la comunidad y el espacio sociosanitario: Nuevos retos y nuevos protagonistas para la vieja reforma psiquiátrica

  En relación a los procesos de Reforma Psiquiátrica iniciados en diferentes partes del mundo, en líneas generales se puede afirmar que el sujeto protagonista de los mismos ha sido el médico psiquiatra, siendo el objeto de la Reforma el manicomio, y más exactamente el cuestionamiento de la asistencia manicomial y la subsiguiente transformación de ésta en una red asistencial comunitaria. Sin embargo, en los inicios del nuevo siglo, estamos asistiendo a una nueva fase de los procesos de Reforma Psiquiátrica, con cambios tanto en el protagonismo de los mismos de los sujeto del cambio) �ahora los propios usuarios y sus familias-, como en el objeto (ya no centrado en el manicomio sino en la misma red social). Tal como se vislumbra, el objetivo de este nuevo sujeto de los procesos de Reforma Psiquiátrica es la implantación y desarrollo en la comunidad de la que forman parte de un espacio sociosanitario eficiente que garantice la mejor calidad de vida posible para el paciente y su familia.

  In relation to the processes of the psychiatric reform iniciated in different parts of the world, we can say, generally spoken, that the main subject of these processes has been the psychiatrist, the object of the reform was the Mental Hospital, and more exactly the debate about the assistance in these hospitals and its subsequent transformation in a system of community assistance. Nevertheless, at the beggining of the new century, we are attending to a new stage of the processes of the psychiatric reform with changes in the protagonists (the subject of the change) �now they are the users and their families- as well as in the object (now it is centred in the social network instead of the mental hospital). So far we are able to glimpse, the goal of this new subject of the processes of the psychiatric reform is the implantation and development in their communities of an efficient sociosanitary space which guarantees the best quality of life for the patient and his family.
