The folding-cleavage relations observed in some mesozoic outcrops from the NW limit of the Iberian Chain (Aragonian Branch) suggest an origin related to the compresive tertiary phases for such amisotropy.
In this paper we describe some microstructures associated with this cleavage that are the material evidence of the microstructural scale continuous deformation.
