Guacimara Vela Calderón es una joven artista de las Islas Canarias formada en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de La Laguna (Tenerife). Su obra muestra un interesante estilo personal, cada vez más reconocible en el mundillo del arte que rota en torno a esa metrópoli cultural conformada por las ciudades de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y La Laguna. El inusual talento de Guacimara abarca diferentes lenguajes plásticos, aunque en los últimos años su actividad se concentra en trabajos de cerámica, el grabado y la joyería artística.

Guacimara Vela Calderón is a young artist from the Canary Islands who studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of La Laguna University (Tenerife). Her works depict an interesting personal style, which as time goes become more recognizable in the artistic circles which rotate around the cultural metropolis formed by the cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna. The unusual talent of Guacimara embraces different plastic languages, although in the last years her artistic endeavors have focused on pottery, engraving, and artistic jewelry works.
