El artículo presenta, con el oportuno marco histórico, los textos constitucionales que han regulado en Colombia el tratamiento jurídico del factor religioso. Se dedica una atención particular a la Constitución vigente (1991), y a las cuestiones que pueden incidir en la evolución futura del Derecho Eclesiástico colombiano.

The article presents, with the proper historical context, the constitutional texts that have regulated in Colombia the legal treatment of the religious factor. Particular attention is given to the current Constitution (1991), and to the issues that may affect the future evolution of Colombian Ecclesiastical Law.
