Une revue de géographie sur la place lyonnaise: géographie d'un périodique

    This article analyses the entire corpus of what was successively called Etudes rhodaniennes, Revue de Géographie de Lyon and Géocarrefour. Changes in the title of the journal have related to significant mutations in editorial and scientific projects that have marked its history. The author identifies the different approaches of key figures (A. Cholley, A. Allix, M. Lannou, J. Bethemont, N. Commercon) who edited the journal and shows how a geographical area initially focused on the Lyon region and the Rhone valley was defined in terms of operational objectives. However, the initial scope is expanded gradually, first to Mediterranean regions and then to encompass new disciplinary themes, many of which continue the link with the initial focus of the review (questions related to "rivers"). The article seeks to understand how the actors of this review have defined, documented and questioned their scientific territories.

    L'article analyse l'ensemble du corpus de ce qui fut successivement nommé Etudes rhodaniennes, puis Revue de Géographie de Lyon et Géocarrefour. Les changements de titre de cette revue accompagnent des mutations sensibles liées aux différents projets éditoriaux et scientifiques qui ont marqué son histoire. L'auteur identifie les principales scansions liées aux figures universitaires successives (A. Cholley, A. Allix, M. Le Lannou, J. Bethemont, N. Commerçon) qui ont piloté la revue et montre comment se dessine initialement un périmètre géographique centrée sur la région lyonnaise et le couloir rhodanien en fonction d'objectifs opérationnels. Toutefois, ce périmètre initial se dilate progressivement d'abord vers les horizons méditerranéens puis en élargissant les thématiques disciplinaires dont certaines maintiennent un lien persistant avec les objets d'études initiaux (la question du « fleuve »). L'article cherche à saisir comment les acteurs de cette revue ont délimité, documenté et interrogé leurs territoires scientifiques.
