    Los acontecimientos traumáticos son transmitidos frecuentemente a sucesivas generaciones de forma consciente e inconsciente. El silencio es una forma eficaz de transmisión inconsciente. El trauma de los asesinatos de civiles durante la Guerra Civil Española se ha transmitido hasta las actuales tercera y cuarta generación. Es el trauma de haber perdido a un antepasado de forma violenta. Pero es también el trauma, mas oculto todavía en España, de tener un antepasado que asesinó.

    Los profesionales no hemos explorado en nuestros pacientes esa parte de la historia familiar, contaminados por el silencio acerca del tema. Con el desarrollo de algunos fenómenos de la situación española tras la Guerra Civil (1936-1939).

    The traumatic events are frequently transmitted to the next generations consciously and unconsciously. Silence is an efficient kind of unconscient transmition. The trauma of assassination of population in the Spanish Civil War has been transmitted to the presents third and fourth generation. Is the trauma of lost an ancestor in a violent kind. But it is also the trauma, more concealed today in Spain, of an ancestor who killed.

    We the professionals have not explored in our patients this part of the family history contaminated by the general silence about this topic. I will talk about some phenomena of the Spanish situation after the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
