This article covers a pilote study carried out with information picked up in 60 texts and originated by diverse authors, including references to the use of info codes and a transcription of a group interview with three experts. We gather descriptions and evaluations of info codes used principally by young people in their communication by Internet and mobile phones. Diverse causes and consequences are attributed to the use of these codes, affecting among others linguistic, thinking, cognitive, lecture habit and reading aspects. The authors of the above mentioned texts think that due to the use of these codes, certain attitudes must be assumed and recommendations carried out.
