Este texto pertenece al capitulo I de la tesis de maestría "El aguante en el cuerpo: construcción de identidad de los hinchas de un club de fútbol argentino." Dicho trabajo de investigación se desarrollo sobre un enfoque predominantemente cualitativo, triangulando distintos métodos como la entrevista en profundidad, la observación participante y no participante y grupos focales. En dicho capitulo, presentaremos a la hinchada, sus practicas y representaciones. Mostrando a los sujetos y sus acciones, exhibiendo el principal de los mecanismos de asociación al grupo "El aguante".También, reconstruiremos como éste se conforma, por un lado, como un símbolo de prestigio y honor, y por otro, como uno de los factores mas relevantes en la constitución de la identidad, entendiendo a esta desde un posicionamiento constructivita que viaja en sentido estrictamente inverso de las miradas escencialistas.
