  Los pueblos indígenas americanos están resurgiendo y recuperándose, organizándose en asociaciones y haciendo prevalecer sus derechos. Ser indígena no es una cuestión biológica, ni de raza, sino que es una cuestión étnica y cultural. Ser indígena implica considerarse diferente a la sociedad nacional, por presentar una relación histórica con las sociedades precolombinas, al ser descendiente de los primeros habitantes del país. El objetivo general es incentivar el deporte socioeducativo:

  el deporte como identidad de las culturas autóctonas, que promueven la ciudadanía indígena, la integración y el intercambio de valores tradicionales, incentivando la práctica colectiva de los deportes tradicionales y de las manifestaciones culturales. El criterio primordial para la selección de la etnia invitada será el factor cultural y las culturas originales: ritos, idiomas, danzas, cantos, instrumentos musicales, artesanía corporal, pinturas y principalmente sus deportes tradicionales

  Native American people are resurfacing and recovering their traditions, organizing themselves into associations and reasserting their rights. Being Indian is not a biological or racial issue, but an ethnic and cultural issue. Being indigenous means being considered different from national society, presenting a historical connection with pre-Columbian societies, being a descendant of the first inhabitants of the country. Their overall aim is to promote social and educational sport: sport as an identity of indigenous cultures that promotes indigenous citizenship, integration and exchange of traditional values, promoting the collective practice of traditional sports and cultural events. The first criterion for selection will be ethnic and cultural considerations and their original cultures; their rites, languages, dance, singing, musical instruments, body crafts, paintings and, above all, their traditional sports
