La Ley de Policía e Imprenta aprobada en el primer gobierno liberal de Práxedes Mateo Sagasta permitió el desarrollo del periodismo de empresa en la España de los últimos 30 años del sistema de la Restauración. El principal protagonista del empuje que la comunicación sufre desde finales del siglo XIX fue el periodista, político y empresario Miguel Moya, director de El Liberal, fundador de la Asociación de la Prensa de Madrid y creador del primer grupo empresarial de medios en español, la Sociedad Editorial de España.

The Police and Printing Act adopted in the first Liberal government of Práxedes Mateo Sagasta allowed the development of business journalism in Spain in the last 30 years of the Restoration system. The major figure of the development that media suffered from the late nineteenth century was the journalist, politician and businessman Miguel Moya, editor of El Liberal, founder of the Press Association of Madrid and creator of the first group of Spanish-language media company, the Sociedad Editorial de España.
