In this paper, the behavior of choosing the own language or the imposed one in a minorized community is studied from the perspective of the functional analysis of behavior. Minorization means that every available language (one of two: Catalan and Spanish) are official but exposed to very different behavioral consequences wich involve different occurring probabilities for the behaviors "speaking in Catalan" and "speaking in Spanish", respectively. From this point of view, a specific intervention is proposed in order to enhance the probability of using the minorized language as vehicular language.
