A sinraptorid theropod (Dinosauria: Saurischia) from the Phu Kradung Formation of northeastern Thailand

    Un tibia de théropode provenant de la formation Phu Kradung dans la province de Mukdahan (NE de la Thaïlande) est décrit et attribué à la famille des Sinraptoridae, auparavant connue seulement dans le Jurassique de Chine (Xinjiang et Sichuan). Cette découverte confirme les affinités de l'assemblage de vertébrés trouvé dans la formation Phu Kradung avec les faunes du Jurassique supérieur de Chine. L'âge jurassique supérieur suggéré par les vertébrés fossiles pour la formation Phu Kradung ne concorde pas avec l'attribution au Crétacé inférieur fondée sur les palynomorphes.

    A theropod tibia from the Phu Kradung Formation of Mukdahan Province, northeastern Thailand, is described and referred to the family Sinraptoridae, previously known only from the Jurassic of China (Xinjiang and Sichuan). This find confirms the affinities of the vertebrate assemblage from the Phu Kradung Formation with Late Jurassic faunas from China. The Late Jurassic age suggested by fossil vertebrates for the Phu Kradung Formation is not in good agreement with an attribution to the Early Cretaceous based on palynomorphs.
