  • Resumen
    • The domination of the market ideology puts in risk the very basis of democracy, subordinating the political action for the development and autonomy of the people in their projects of collective articulation. The lateral development of the social relations in a network is nevertheless intensifying the pressures for greater autonomy and local cultural identities. But the disassociations between cultural identity and the processes of economic globalization provoke strong social ruptures. The popular movements in this sense have to be capable of influencing other political actors and operators as much as the very institutional environment in which they operate in order to institutionalize a new governability in the Global Society of Information.
