Los pasados 3 y 4 de noviembre de 2010 se celebraron en el Colegio de Málaga de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Alcalá las I Jornadas de Lengua y Comunicación, que pretenden continuar, tras un intervalo de varios años, las Jornadas de Lingüística en la Universidad de Alcalá, dirigidas desde 1985 por Francisco Moreno Fernández.
En un afán por hacer llegar a un amplio público el contenido de nuestras Jornadas, Lingüística en la Red publicará, como volúmenes monográficos, las conferencias convertidas en artículos, empezando por las I Jornadas de Lengua y Comunicación, dedicadas a los marcadores discursivos, que aquí presentamos.

The I Symposium on Language and Communication at the University of Alcalá was held between the 3rd and 4th of November 2010. After a time lapse of a few years, this event is meant to carry on the task undertaken by the Symposium on Linguistics at the University of Alcalá, which was directed by Francisco Moreno Fernández.
With the aim of reaching a wide audience, the content of our symposium will be published in the form of articles gathered in monographic volumnes in the web site Linguistica en la Red. We here present the first volume of the series, which is devoted to discourse markers.
