    Uno de los requisitos indispensables para la integración centroamericana constituye el fortalecimiento de su estructura orgánica. La Corte Centroamericana de Justicia fue creada como órgano jurisdiccional que garantiza la interpretación y aplicación del Protocolo de Tegucigalpa. Del mismo Protocolo se han derivado grandes debates sobre el carácter intergubernamental de sus órganos y la falta de competencia normativa supranacional de los órganos centroamericanos. Pero la Corte Centroamericana de Justicia sí es un órgano jurisdiccional supranacional, y además, con jurisdicción y competencia obligatoria y exclusiva. No hay duda que la instauración de la Corte ha ayudado a fortalecer el proceso de integración regional y el derecho comunitario centroamericano.

    One of the requisites for integration is the strengthening of its organizational structure. The Central American Court of Justice was created as a court that ensures the interpretation and application of the Protocol of Tegucigalpa. The Protocol has led us to great debates about the nature of intergovernmental bodies and the lack of supranational regulatory bodies of Central Americans. But the Central American Court of Justice itself is a supranational court, and further, with obligatory and exclusive jurisdiction. There is no doubt that the establishment of the Court has helped to strengthen the regional integration process and EU law in Central America.
