Oraciones pasivas en italiano y español: dificultades traductivas y análisis lingüístico contrastivo

    Las construcciones pasivas tanto en italiano como en español presentan características similares. Pese a ello, pueden destacarse unas divergencias fundamentales en lo que atañe a la frecuencia y a la tendencia de uso que marca cada lengua. Estas disimetrías pueden dar lugar, y de hecho constituyen, dificultades traductivas en el transvase de una lengua a otra. El cotejo entre ambos idiomas dejará patente los diferentes tipos de fórmulas pasivas existentes en los dos y, asimismo, pondrá de relieve la riqueza del italiano frente al español. Con el presente estudio, además, se pretende hacer hincapié en la necesidad de realizar cambios tanto sintácticos como semánticos a la hora de traducir del italiano al español para conservar los diferentes matices y significados que las construcciones pasivas puedan encerrar en el texto original.

    The apparent similarity between constructions of the passive voice both in Italian and Spanish in fact conceals a significant disparity if close attention is paid to the frequency and the use of passive structures in both languages. As will be shown, such divergence in frequency and use may give rise to translation difficulties when translating from one language into the other. Likewise, the comparison of passives will highlight the greater variety of Italian constructions as compared to Spanish. The aim of the present study is to stress the need of introducing syntactic as well semantic changes in order to translate into Spanish the different values that Italian passive constructions may convey.
