Operaciones argumentativas

    La naturaleza argumentativa de la lengua, unida al funcionamiento del diálogo en una relación retórica entre interlocutores, se basa en las distintas posiciones posibles sobre la realidad que se construyen mediante la interacción lingüística.

    En esta interacción, hay unas operaciones relevantes tanto en el entendimiento de un argumento como en su producción comunicativa. Se tratan tanto de unas regularidades comunes en el procesamiento lingüístico y en la interacción comunicativa, como de unas estrategias discursivas. Regularidades y estrategias, donde la acción argumentativa se desarrolla sobre unas operaciones psicolingüísticas y lingüístico-discursivas, que podemos llamar operaciones argumentativas, y considerar que están en la base de toda interacción. Estas operaciones argumentativas de base son: la justificación (como forma de construir y estructurar la realidad), la negociación (como propiedad inherente a la retórica en su acción comunicativa), y la evaluación (como validez y aceptabilidad de la acción del discurso). A ellas es necesario añadir otras operaciones que intervienen a nivel del enunciado, en la interacción interpersonal, en la construcción textual y en la discusión crítica.

    The argumentative nature of language is linked to the dialogue performance in a rhetoric relation between interlocutors, and it is based on the different possible positions that linguistic interaction builds about reality. In this interaction, there are some relevant operations which are installed in the understanding of an argument and in its communicative production. These operations have to do with some discursive strategies and with some common regularities in the linguistic processing and in the communicative interaction. In these strategies and regularities, the argumentative action is developed upon some psycho-linguistic and linguistic-discursive operations, which we can call argumentative operations and consider that they are in the base of every interaction. These basic argumentative operations are: justification (as a means of constructing and structuring reality), negotiation (as a property that is inherent to rhetoric and its communicative action), and evaluation (as the validity and acceptability of the discourse action). To them, it is necessary to add other operations which intervene in the utterance, in the interpersonal interaction, in the textual construction, and in the critical discussion.
