Resumen de La singularidad del poeta Manuel Mantero: guía didáctica a través de los textos

  En este artículo defendemos y analizamos la originalidad de la obra del poeta Manuel Mantero (Sevilla, 1930) en relación a las poéticas de otros autores de las generaciones del medio siglo en España. Esa singularidad no viene dada por factores biográficos (Mantero vive en EE. UU. desde 1969) sino por los rasgos estéticos de su poesía. El poeta no acepta las consignas estéticas de las dos primeras generaciones de posguerra por considerarlas demasiado constreñidas y estereotipadas en un lenguaje, unas formas y una temática que se repiten y que por tanto resultan previsibles. Por el contrario, la poesía de Manuel Mantero ha hecho siempre gala de una gran amplitud de referencias culturales, recursos formales y temas relacionados con la propia vida, el amor, los amigos, la tierra natal o los libros. Una poesía que él siente libre, viva y necesaria.

  In this article we assert and analyse the most original aspects in the poetry of Manuel Mantero (Seville, 1930) in relation to the poetics of other authors from the Generation of the 50s in Spain. These singular aspects are not determined by his personal facts (Mantero has lived in the United States since 1969) but by the aesthetic features of his poetry. This poet does not accept the aesthetic proposals of the two first Generations after the Spanish Civil War because he considers them too constricted and stereotyped in their language, their forms and themes, which are repeated once and again, and therefore are easy to predict. On the contrary, Mantero�s poetry has always shown a wide range of cultural references, formal devices and themes that deal with daily life, love, friends, his native land and other books. Poetry he feels free, full of life and necessary.
