El autor aborda el tema de la educación y la política, pasando por el papel de los intelectuales y los académicos quienes pueden establecer relaciones interesantes, no necesariamente interdependientes, para enfrentar los grandes retos de desarrollo que demanda un país como Colombia, considerado por muchos un país inviable y por , puedan influir en el ejercicio de la política.

The author approaches the topic of the education and the politic, passing for the role of the intellectual ones and the academicians who can establish interesting, not necessarily interdependent relations, to face the big challenges of development that demands a country as Colombia, considered by many people an unviable country and for some others an incomplete Democracy.
He calls the attention on the progressive deterioration of the politic and urges to the adoption of deliberative and critical attitudes on the part of intellectual and academic in order that, more early that it is late, they could influence the exercise of the politics.
