La relación personal entre san Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer y mons: Juan Hervás a través de sus cartas

    Se presenta un breve estudio del trato entre Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, fundador del Opus Dei y Juan Hervás Benet, obispo de Ciudad Real e impulsor de los Cursillos de Cristiandad. La reseña biográfica de ambos presenta el marco en el que se examinan desde el punto de vista cuantitativo, temporal y de contenido, las cartas que se conservan en el Archivo General de la Prelatura del Opus Dei en Roma, con la doble finalidad de trazar una cronología base de la relación entre Escrivá de Balaguer y Hervás, y de esbozar algunas ideas sobre su amistad, que sirvan de punto de partida para estudios sucesivos.

    The friendship between St. Josemaría Escrivá and Msgr. Juan Hervás as seen through their correspondence: A brief study of the relationship between Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei, and Juan Hervás Benet, Bishop of Ciudad Real and promoter of the Cursillos de Cristiandad (Short Courses of Christianity) is presented in this article. The biographical sketches of both men provide a framework for the examination of the letters from the points of view of quantity, time frame and content matter. The letters are kept in the General Archives of the Opus Dei Prelature in Rome and the examination has a dual purpose, firstly to construct a basic chronology of the relationship between Escrivá and Hervás, and secondly to outline some ideas about their friendship which may serve as a starting point for future studies.
